Hi, thanks, great plugin, makes life much easier. Are there any WP version dependancies? I notice this plugin works fine with WP 2.3.1 but not with WP 2.1.3? Or am I doing something wrong?

  2. Jonathan Says:

It should work on both 2.3.1 and 2.1.3. Are you manually setting a specific front page under Options/Reading/Front page?

    If so, try this update:
    http://www.affiliatesonfire.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/aof_seo_site_verify_v12.zip

It looks like Wordpress broke the is_home() function with this feature and this plugin relies on is_home() to only push the verification keys to the front page.

Please try the update and let me know.

Kevin, feel free to post a link to your 2.1.3 site - I’ll take a look at it to see if there’s anything obvious I hadn’t thought of. I took a look at 3oceans but that’s at 2.3.1 so I assume that’s not the blog you’re talking about?

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks a million — that seems to have done the trick. It does not appear to be a 2.1.3 vs. 2.3.1 issue, but rather an issue that one of the blogs I run manually specifies a homes page — and that’s the one that wasn’t working until i upgraded from 1.1 of your plugin to 1.2.

    Works like a champ!

Thanks Kevin! I figured out what was going on - WP broke the is_home function - and caused a small ruckus in the Wordpress community. Anyway, I fixed AOF SEO plugin so that it auto-detects the WP version, uses the appropriate function and figures out the correct front page.

1.2 will work fine - 1.3 simply fine-tunes it to work for each Wordpress version independently.
